The Way Of Zen

Karelia Zen is a completely novel residency network between Finnish and Japanese artists, scholars
and good hearted people, offering a refugee for individuals to enjoy the nature and elemental living.

The Way of Zen passes through the various challenges of art, research and social life

like a master

in perfect balance with nature.

The purpose of Karelia Zen is to find and create new holistic and contemporary approaches for

aestethics, pedagogy and lifestyle explorations locally and internationally.

At the same time Karelia Zen respects and approach old knowledge, crafts and local traditions,

that can be applied in meaningful ways today.

The Japanese and the Finnish Cultural Geographers have cooperated in this

field for a long time.
